I am fairly good at church pics, but just for fun here is a fail. I got a lot right with this picture, but in the end it is not a worthy picture at all. Just seemed fun to post a fail for a change to show that not everything comes out like one wants.
I don't get into town much at night, so grabbed this quick picture this evening. At times, this street is teeming with people, and is a major parade route through town. But tonight it was very quiet in town with few people out. And for those unfamiliar with Norwegian street names, "gate" essentially means "street," and is pronounced like "gotta" not "gayt."
This photo was taken in Venezuela, far east of Caracas, along a road where our truck blew a fan belt. It took maybe an hour to get that fixed, and while stuck I managed to get a few pictures.
Okay, I will stop with the Ireland stuff for a bit. But expect some more for the run up to St. Paddy's Day.
Saint Patrick's Cathedral in Dublin is quite a church, with a storied history tied to the history of Ireland itself. But this isn't a history blog, it is a photo blog... mostly. So, here is a photo of the altar with a bit of framing for perspective.
