I had the wrong lens on for this shot, so a bit fuzzy, but couldn't resist a bunny pic
While mist netting bats near Center Moreland, PA, I caught this ball of fur in the net. What is it?
I'm just going to give the answer, so don't scroll forward if you wish to guess.
Seriously, just going to give the answer.
And now the answer.
Yes, it is a flying squirrel. We catch rather a lot of these when netting for bats at night. They are very hard on the nets, and we don't wish to catch them, even though they are way cute.
A few more shots from this area. I was hoping to be able to ID some of this stuff, but limited luck. I will update IDs if I can work them out later.
Sorry about the recent miss, but summer is busy.
So, for tonight a few pics from near Dallas, Pennsylvania. The area is great for photos, but too busy working to get much.
On New Years Eve in Suriname, everyone shoots off fireworks to the point that even driving gets difficult. I was just looking at some of my pics from this bit in Suriname and found this shot of a kid running with a long sparkler amid the smoke.
And it is my pic of the day, for Father's Day. And this is my kid.
