I hope to add more video links to amazing bits over time.
Big caves in the tepuis of southern Venezuela. I was there in January, and the pic of the day is from that bit. The view from my tent at our surface camp. But there is a fun video of a guy who flies an ultralight plane right through one of the tepuis here:

Geese have been flying by and heading north. I don't really have the photo gear to make great shots of flying birds hundreds of meters away, but a few pics to show what is going on in the skies.
Today was supposed to be a kid's festival in Oslo. The promo promised: Spectacular Youth Show with air acrobatics, Bollywood, Hip Hop, parkour, extreme acrobatics, juggling, dance shows and acoustic gigs Well, I wasn't there the whole time, but while there listened to a number of Hip Hop/Rap artists using much rude language not typically associated with kid events. Ah well. Did take some pictures, which will be quite off-topic from the usual stuff here. This guy was pretty impressive, with his fire-breathing and hanging by some pins in the flesh of his back. But just a few shots of the folks in the area should also be interesting. A very mixed crowd indeed. And on the way out of town, saw the most cute baby and just had to take this picture (with permission from the mother).
With the flowers come the insects. Here is a bee finding nectar in an ubiquitous small flower in Oslo.
Lots of flowers are popping up in Oslo. Here is a macro shot of a quite small flower that blooms in a great array of such. In a few days this bit will be a burst of purple.
Lots of black-headed gulls around. Tried to get a shot of one worth posting, so here it is: And one of my pics showed up in the UNLV Magazine. It is page four in the magazine, but page six in the viewer.
http://issuu.com/university.of.nevada.las.vegas/docs/unlvmagazinespring2012?mode=window&backgroundColor=%23222222 This picture was taken in Costa Rica's Cueva Terciopelo where we were doing some science on paleoclimate. The sunlight coming in the entrance made for a fairly spectacular shot of the cave with the lead scientist, Matt Lachniet giving some scale to the size of the entrance room. Butterflies in the spring can be hard to find, but here is an example of such. Of note, this is the only butterfly I have ever seen visiting dandelions.
I have finished adding photos to the London Galleries. In the near future I hope to add more UK galleries from Scotland, but hope you like the pics of the tourist central area in London.
I really should put up some galleries of Borneo stuff, but for now another pic, this time of a butterfly.
