I know, I know. I promised Scotland pics. So close, but so busy!

The ethnic festival in the Gronland section of Oslo each year is worth a visit. Lots of great food and some fun carnival games and rides. A small photo gallery of such has been created, so click HERE to see it. Today everyone gets dressed up and goes out and about. Many march in parades and just have a good time. It will take some time to get the pics together, but I will put up a gallery at some point.
After looking over the blog visits, I find that 1-3 people look at it on any given day. This is truly bottom of the internet barrel, where some billion people click stuff every day. Thus, I am pretty much going back to just using the blog to note when new additions to the website go up.
Thanks to the few who followed this experiment. Keith One of the most commonly seen birds when hiking around oslo, the white wagtail can give a photographer fits as they do, in fact, wag their tails and rarely sit still. But here is a picture of one on the rocks along the shore of a lake, which shows the bird reasonably well.
At Sognsvann lake, there are a number of bat houses. Normally, I would use the term bat boxes, but some are not boxes at all. I will likely post pics of more of them at some point, but here is one of the bat boxes. Spiffy looking, but seems way too small to attract breeding females.
Tonight the moon was full and at perigee (closest to earth on its orbit). Could not get out to a great site to photograph it, but took a picture from where I was.
Leaf out in Oslo means that things are getting green again, and all the migratory birds are mostly back. Pic of the day is of Ullern Kirke (Ullern Church) showing the leaf out status.
