I was recently asked why I haven't put up any frog pictures from Norway this Spring. Well, it is still too early for such in most places, as there is still ice on most of the ponds. I will post frog pictures once the frogs come out.
I know there are some insects that hibernate as adults, but never knew this about the Mourning Cloak butterfly. Yet last week I photographed one near Oslo, and as there are almost no leaves out yet for caterpillars, knew it had to have overwintered.
This site gives great detail on such.
Final post on Frogner Park. Yes, the baby is still angry, and seems hard to console even with all the love going on around him.
However, if you've looked this far down the posting, I offer a link that will be of interest to lovers of airline humor:
From Frogner Park, today's bit includes greylag geese, tufted ducks, and some pigeons.
