However, I am still much confused about the new layout for my Weebly webpage software and am only starting to figure it out.
So today you get yesterday's photo, and tomorrow maybe this will all get back on track.
![]() Okay, I lied. Yesterday i published "nothing" saying I hadn't taken any pics. Well, I took this pic, which isn't awful and worthy of a post. However, I am still much confused about the new layout for my Weebly webpage software and am only starting to figure it out. So today you get yesterday's photo, and tomorrow maybe this will all get back on track.

Today I offer nothing. This is part because my web server has been full of whatnot that I don't understand, and part because I didn't take a great photo today so that is that.
So such is as such is. My first day without a photo in maybe two years. This insect was flying around my feet, and then landed. I was taking pictures of birds with my telephoto lens, so didn't get a great shot of it with that lens.
But...I can't figure out what it is. The wings are really small for a critter that was 3cm long. It acted like a spider wasp (seemed to be hunting on the ground). But here it is and any information on what it is would be welcomed. Yes, I only had an hour to get away from the city scene and walk a bit in Lake Fairfax Park. But the birds were just everywhere, getting ready for migration or a long winter. But as any birder knows, most of this activity is either high in trees or in the deep brush. Hard to photograph the birds, even while it was really nice to have them all around.
Here are a few pictures from my hour with the birds. And a quote from Emo Phiips that I like:
A computer once beat me at chess, but it was no match for me at kickboxing. And this is mostly a photo blog about critters, but some viewers like the occasional photo of military might and such things.
These spiders have their spiderlings ride on their back for a bit. It gives a bit of an uncomfortable image for those who don't like spiders. But it is a great bit showing that there is child care even among spiders. Photos from Bellefonte, Pennsylvania
