Got out for 30 or 40 minutes at Lake Fairfax. Hot but breezy.
I have migrated most of what I can to my new computer and this has taken much time. Still have a few key bits to install, but I now have Photoshop again and can put up pics.
I really am sorry about the long delay with this change. I knew it would take some time, but this has been harder than I thought and am now just trying to learn the new operating system and photo software. So here is the photo I used today to try and work out some of the new Photoshop abilities. Not my usual fare here, but I wanted something hard to work with. This is a shot I took on Friday in Arlington County, VA. The clouds had some rotation to them and I was wondering if a tornado would occur. I will get back to publishing a pic a day, but have moved to a new computer and have no photo editing software. Sorry for the lack of photos, but they will begin again soon. Stay tuned. The Green Heritage Fund is an NGO dedicated to the conservation of wildlife in the South American country of Suriname. They work with Conservation International and other worldwide organizations to protect and conserve the biodiversity of Suriname.
One of the big things they do is rehabilitate young sloths and anteaters for release back into the wild. And... They have started a fundraising bit that is worth donating to. For some years, they have been looking to create a wildlife rehabilitation center, and now seem to have it worked out. Your donations to this effort will go to providing an awesome place for wildlife to recover and get back into the forest, among other wonderful things this center will bring to Suriname. |
