He took the camera and these are his pics, taken with my pocket cam the Canon S95, not my usual Canon D60.
I was on a walk with my son on a trail that goes around the Fairfax County building.

Huntley Meadows is the largest park in Fairfax County, Virginia. But has fewer trails than some. Granted, much of their trail is boardwalk over a swamp, so that's pretty cool and a way to get into a giant swamp without getting one's boots dirty. But being stuck on the boardwalk limits the photos. Check it out at: http://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/parks/huntley-meadows-park/ And a now some photos from my 1.5 hour trip there today. This park is just maybe 5 acres or so, but just the place for me to visit for some pics as the weather was windy with rain. The leaves are in full color, but blowing down fast.
Today the sky was full of high-altitude clouds that were at times amazing. For most of it, I was driving or otherwise occupied. But I stopped by Jefferson Park for 15 minutes or so to get a photo. Probably in Merrifield, VA, but unsure if that is the correct locale.
Mostly, when you go to the dentist, they have a bin of small toys and stickers for the kids to grab. Well, assuming the kid was good for the visit. Now I realize it is near Halloween and all, but... Candy for your good visit treat? Hmmmm. Not trying to embarrass anyone here, and they were aware of the conflicting bits. Just found this funny enough to take a pic.
Today we headed off in great weather to visit the corn maze in The Plains, Virginia. The farm has a corn maze, along with a number of kid-loving stuff to do. Much fun was had, and this will take me two days to post all the pics. The website for this place is: http://www.cornmazeintheplains.com/ The second half of all this will be posted tomorrow.
You know the drill. Black helicopters and all.
