Some explanation may be useful to explain what tropicalbats.com is all about, as it is a scattered bit right now.
The plan is to present a source for bat information and links based on my experiences, along with a good bit about caves and caving. Anyone accessing this site right now will certainly find this end of things very much lacking. There is a reason for this.
It is just plain easier to create galleries of pictures first, and then begin to dig into the worlds of caves and bats. If I were to start with the bats, I would surely be searching my picture files for something to illustrate the various bats, feeding strategies, caves, etc. However, by presenting a number of photo galleries first, I will have a set of pictures handy to use to help illustrate the caves and bats articles.
Along the way, I am and will continue posting galleries, and hopefully write-ups of many of the places I have been. It is understandable that these will only be of specific interest to people looking for information on those places, and does create a more broad website than what one might expect when finding this via search engine.
With time, it will all come together, providing site information, pictures and a resource for bat and cave stuff.
